Research Interest

My research interests are primarily in applied computing—emphasizing classification and decision processing problems through artificial intelligence focused on soft computing, data mining, forecasting, natural language processing, computer vision, rough set, and three-way decisions.

The decision process is part of the administration context at different levels: strategic, tactical, and operational. Manager-made decisions in organizations have direct and immediate consequences for those managers. The importance of those decisions is even more accentuated in the current complex and dynamic world scenario. At the same time, decisions need to be made based on evidence in order to be effective. Strategic planning and the use of modern technologies are essential tools to support decisions.

My research interest in applied computing is related to integrating strategies, evidence, and computational models to support organizational decision-making and the decision process.
